Bearcats atop Basketball Times Preseason Rankings

Northwest Missouri State men's basketball will start the year right where it finished the previous pandemic-shortened season – at number one.

The Basketball Times tabbed the Bearcats as the top team in NCAA Division 2 in their preseason top 20.

No other MIAA teams cracked the ranking.

The Bearcats won the 2020 MIAA regular season title, the MIAA Tournament Championship, and finished with a 31-1 record.

Northwest opens the 2021 regular season November 19 at Northeastern State.
